Services - Virtual Tours & Realtime 3D Visualisations
Realtime 3D
Realtime 3D enables you to display a 3D representation of your product on the internet, and for users to fully interact with it in a way that is not possible with standard 2D images.
Realtime 3D modules can be easily incorporated into any existing website and do not require a separate plugin to be installed (utilising the Java enviroment, which is installed on over 90% of current PCs).
3D visualisations of your product can be controlled by the end-user - they can rotate, scale and move the product and it is also possible to make the product functional.
Realtime 3D can be used for many purposes including Product Visualisation, Virtual Tours and for educational purposes.
Realtime 3D > 3D Virtual Tours
By creating a computer-generated visualisation of a building or location, it is possible to allow your customer of client to explore it in 3D, in a similar manner to first-person-view video games.
3D virtual tours can be created from existing CAD data (for a new housing development for example), or simply from supplied photographs, plans or sketches. The detail level can vary from a very basic representation (walls, floors, roof) through to highly detailed models (containing realistic textures and fittings).
The 3D virtual tour is supplied as a complete module which can be easily integrated into any standard webpage. The end user is then able to move around the 3D environment in a number of ways and may even interact with certain features (doors may be opened by clicking with the mouse or even via a proximity sensor).
3D tours can be used for many purposes including the marketing of new housing developments, for educational purposes (to allow users to explore historic buildings) or as a novel addition to a website or CD-ROM.
Realtime 3D > 3D Product Visualisation
By using realtime 3D technology, your customers can now fully interact with your products instead of simply seeing a 2D photogragh.
Realtime 3D content can be created from your actual existing product, from your CAD files or simply from drawings or sketches. 3D models are created using industry-standard software prior to conversion to the realtime 3D environment.
Examples of the features available include :
Customers can view your product in 3D and rotate, scale and move it.
Parts of your product may be functional - for example by clicking on the rear panel of a mobile phone, the casing may open showing the inside of the battery compartment. A digital camera may have a functioning mechanical zoom lense which can be controlled by the user clicking the zoom button with their mouse. A 3D watch or clock may have moving hands and components.
The colour of all (or part) of your product may be changed by the user. Cars may have their main colour changed - or seat colour - or trim colour...
A number of preset camera views can be offered to the user and switched between seamlessly via a simple menu system built into the realtime 3D module.
